Where it came from
The Sound Cypher started as something personal.
It grew out of the kind of music exchange that happens when two people are getting to know each other and each song reveals a little more than conversation alone. What began as playful one-upmanship turned into a ritual, then a living room game, then a shared experience friends kept wanting to take home with them.
Over time, what started between Carl and Jilene evolved through gatherings in Dubai, late nights with friends, and years of refinement across different rooms, cities, and crowds. The game kept changing because people kept playing it, responding to it, and adding to its energy.
That is still at the heart of The Sound Cypher now.
